Pakistani Samina Baig Makes History in Mountaineering

 

 

Sameena Baig, born in a small village, Shimshal, in Pakistan’s Hunza Valley set a new precedent for the role of women in her native society when she became the first female mountaineer from her country to climb the previously unconquered Chashkin Sar (6,400m) peak.
