When we say the largest logo, we mean a freaking 1,610 km long logo. But how did they do it?
The Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner, just landed after the longest record flight time of 19 hours. But why fly a plane for so long?
This flight was authorized by the Boeing flight testing department, to ensure, rather let’s say to show off the extreme capabilities of Boeing planes. 19 hours of flight is a very long period of time, and the flight department thought what could be the best way to show that the planes are built for endurance, speed and agility.
Remember those old movies where you could a pay a pilot to sky write a message, to impress your loved one. So the shrewd minds of Boeing flight test department said lets paint the largest logo on the face of the earth. And that is what they did.
The flight plan had 140 way points, which not only entitled the pilot to write 787, but also to make the Boeing logo of an earth, an orbit and a plane’s tail wing.
Boeing taking standards higher, literally.
