Honey is produced by honey bees by harvesting the nectar of flowers before regurgitating and storing it in honeycombs. It has been used since ancient times as a beauty product in many forms. It is still an essential base of the majority of beauty care cosmetics.
Rich in vital minerals, vitamins and proteins that are necessary for lush, long and strong hair, it replenishes them when applied on hair and works as a great dietary supplement for hair too.
Yoghurt is made by introducing beneficial bacteria in milk which curdles it. Yoghurt is not only a great food for the hair but contains many bacterial byproducts of microbial respiration such as enzymes and proteins which are required for healthy hair. Yoghurt extract forms the base of many shampoos.
Eggs make effective hair masks as they are rich in proteins and fats which are necessary for thriving hair. The albumin is rich in proteins and the yolk contains fats and a healthy dosage of vitamins that not only combat degenerating hair density but also makes the hair stronger, thicker and shinier.
4. Olive Oil
Olive oil is extracted from olive fruit and is a remedy for both dry skin and hair. It nourishes the hair oils with its unsaturated fats, vitamins and makes them more manageable, shinier and relieves the scalp of dandruff.
Mayonnaise is made chiefly from oil and egg whites which means it is full of fats and proteins, so care must be taken that the hair is already not oily. It is effective in removing dandruff, tangles in the hair, kills lice and makes the hair look lustrous.
