MJ puts Glee on top charts

The American musical TV series Glee became the most watched episode of the show’s third season with a total 9.1 million viewers in a tribute episode to Michael Jackson as reported recently on 17th February, 2012.

A total of ten cover on the songs of Michael Jackson were aired in the show and all ten of the Glee cast’s covers of the King of Pop’s hits were put in the top 100 on the digital sales chart and it has been viewed that nearly half a million songs have been downloaded this week only.

“Smooth Criminal,” the best version produced by the cast which highlighted the duo 2CELLOS, has become the third highest debut song of this season with 108,000 in terms of downloads associated with it. Also Adele’s “Rumour Has It/Someone Like You” has witnessed a download count of almost 160,000 in the first week and their version of Fun’s “We Are Young” has been downloaded 137,000 times in the first week, thus making the “Glee” show dominate all the charts in the digital charts of the week.

The news updates that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson still has the same fame as it used to be.
