Here is a list of the Top 5 Deadliest Weapons!! Some of these have been used in wars as well.

1.     The AC-130 Aerial Gunship

This heavily-armed ground attack aircraft with side-firing weapons incorporated with sensors, navigation and fire control systems is one of the deadliest weapons ever invented.  It consists of a television sensor and radar which lets the gunship to recognize and hit the targets at any time and place.  The earlier versions of AC-130 aerial gunship were under process during the Vietnam War.

 2.   The ‘Bunker Buster’ Bomb

These were first developed by the British military and the concept behind this weapon was deep penetration to increase the impact of the attack. Similar weapons were used in the Persian Gulf War to attack Iraq and were later developed into better versions. The “bunker buster” bomb’s latest versions also include laser-guided missiles.

3.   Laser Guided Bombs

The laser guided weapons were developed in early 1960s by the USA. As the name suggests this is a laser guided bomb which hits the target most accurately. Most air forces today widely use this bomb during ariel warfare.

4.   The .50-Caliber Sniper Rifle

The next deadliest weapon we have on this list is a .50-caliber sniper rifle which was especially developed for police and military use in the early 1970s.  The specialty of this weapon is its range and it set a record for the longest kill in Afghanistan in 2002.

5.    Anti-Personnel Mines

The last weapon on this list of top 5 deadliest weapons is the anti-personnel mine, which is basically a hidden bomb that explodes when someone accidently  steps on it.  During the Afghan War it killed scores of the children as they thought the mine was a toy. According to international legislation, use of landmines has been banned, however the treaty is yet to be ratified by countries such as USA, Russia, Pakistan, China and India.
