Top 5 Tallest Buildings

There is always a  competition going on every where in the world at every level. The levels could be as minimum as home level between siblings, national level sports and at international level between businessmen. It might sound strange to you, but it’s true. And the whole world is consciously or unconsciously going further into the tornado. Here is the list of top 5 tallest buildings of the world, and guess what people, the Arabs are leading in this competition. After all, the Arabs are at the top and spending moment where it is worth while.

Burj Khalifa

Its the tallest building ever standing at the heart of Dubai city. The sky scrapper is at the height of 828 meters and with 163 floors built in 2010.

Abraj Al-Bait Towers

Yes folks we have Arabs again standing at number 2 with the Abraj Al-Bait Towers in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It ranks as the second tallest building with a height of 601 meters and 120 floors. Also famous as  Makkah Royal Hotel Clock Tower, it is accredited with many world records including the tallest hotel, the tallest clock tower and the world’s largest building floor area.

Taipei 101

At the 3rd place we have the Taipei 101 with a height of 509 meters and 101 floors.  Taipei 101 is located in the Xinyi District of Taiwan.  It is the largest green building of the world as per the LEED Platinum Certification.

Shanghai World Financial Center

Well the Chinese had to be in the Top 5, so at 4th position we have the Chinese with their Shanghai World Financial Center and as the name has it, it’s in the city of Shanghai. The building is 492 meters with 101 floors. Interesting fact is the Taipei 101 has the same number of floors but is taller than the Shanghai World Financial Center.

International Commerce Centre

At 5, we have the International Commerce Center in Hong Kong. This scrapper is 484 meters in the sky and has 118 floors, thou it has more floors than Taipei 101 and Shanghai World Financial Center, it ranks at the 5 number in the top 5 tallest buildings as its shorter in height as compare to the other two.

So the Arabs are leading in the competition of the tallest building but the question is till when? Most probably quiet some years as the Arabs in Kuwait are building a tower Burj Al Mubarak Al Kabir of 1001 meters in Madinat al Hareer which also goes by the name f City of Silk. This is how it will look once completed.

    Very true, Even saudia is also planing to break record of the tallest building. They all are in race of showing off
